TKStarley have been providing website design and development services to a huge variety of clients for over twelve years now, and our recent growth and hiring of some awesome new team members meant we were on the lookout for a new home. Having spent a year working remotely, we decided to bring everyone back together under one roof, and moved into our brand new office at Innovation Birmingham Campus just a couple of months ago.
Innovation Birmingham Campus is based in Birmingham Science Park, located just a short walk from the city centre. Our relationship with Innovation Birmingham began around a year ago, when we were accepted onto its Entrepreneurs for the Future (e4f) incubator for our social event planning application, emble. We found the community aspect a huge benefit of being part of e4f, and so we followed the lead of many companies who graduated from the incubator and set up shop in the same building. We’re in good company – the 115 startups who have passed through e4f have raised close to £8 million in funding in initial investment rounds.
Birmingham is a great location for a tech company like TKStarley. It’s always been at the forefront of technological development, from driving the industrial revolution of the 18th and 19th centuries, to being the home of the UK’s largest professional and financial community outside of London. It’s a fast-growing city, dedicated to technological advancement, and welcomes anyone with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Another huge benefit is the physical location; we’ve got clients across the UK, so being centrally based enables us to travel to see them (or vice versa) pretty easily! Indeed, over 90% of the UK market is within four hours’ drive of the new TKStarley office. We’re close to the three city centre stations, or if barges are your mode of transport of choice, the Digbeth Branch canal is mere metres away.
It’s great to be together again as a team, and the office space has enabled us to make three new hires since June! Adding these awesome individuals to the TKStarley family has enabled us to increase our capacity and skillset, so we’re now capable of taking on even more challenging projects. From website design and app development, to marketing and branding, we are on hand to help all of our current and new clients improve their digital presence and grow their business.
